Hot Sculpting

Service Description

Sure, you could make glass functional, but how about making glass sculptural? In this five week class, you will learn the basics of creating a glass sculpture by adding bits on to blown and solid forms, and pushing and pulling the glass into where you want it to be. We will also talk about color application for sculpture. Each class will include roughly one hour of instruction and two hours of practice time. Missed classes: Because of the cost involved in running this class, we are unable to offer make-up sessions for missed classes. We are happy to offer a private lesson at our regular rate if you need a make up session. Ages: 18+ Prerequisite: the Beginning Glassblowing class, or two years of glass blowing experience, or one year experience as a BCGC apprentice, or permission of instructor. Please note: participants will be required to wear 'natural fiber clothing' when glassblowing. Cotton tshirts, jeans, etc. are recommended. Absolutely no leggings.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel please email us and let us know. If you have to cancel last minute, call or text (812)345-2470. We do not offer cash refunds. Cancellations will receive a credit, valid for one year, that can be applied to other classes and events. If the cancellation is received more than 48 hours prior to the scheduled first class, a credit for the full class tuition will be issued. If the cancellation is received less than 48 hours prior to the scheduled first class, a credit for 50% of class tuition will be issued. There will be no refund or credit if you are a no show.
