Beginning Stained Glass - Copper Foil technique

Explore the art of copper foil stained glass in this four-week beginner class. You will learn the basics of pattern design, glass cutting, grinding, foiling, soldering and finishing. Class fees cover
- All materials needed for a roughly 12” x 12” window including glass, solder, and copper foil
- Access to hundreds of stained glass designs
- Use of BCGC tools. If you have your own, you are welcome to bring them.
- 10 hours of instruction. Some outside of class time work is expected.
Students are welcome to come in to work on their project during BCGC’s normal open hours or at a time arranged with instructor.

Painting on Glass

In this class you will learn to cut an arched piece of glass, paint on the glass using the grisaille technique (grey tonal painting), and to frame and hang the piece using came and solder. Please come to first class with a prepared sketch or reference fitting a 5x7" arched format, or the instructor will be prepared with her favorite content to share- bees, snakes, and birds.

All classes have a non refundable $10 processing fee.
We do not offer cash refund for cancelled classes. Cancellations will receive a credit for BCGC (good for classes, events, and our gallery) if cancellation is received within 48 hours of the scheduled first class.
A credit of 50% of class tuition will be issued if cancellation happens within 48 hours of the class.
No credit is issued if you are a now show.
If BCGC cancels a class you will be issued a full refund.
